Start by removing leaves and other things that obstruct the airflow from the heat exchanger and then from the tray. Pour a large (10L) watering can with 40-50<span>\u00b0C<\/span> hot water, slowly pour the silver-colored heat exchanger on your outdoor unit, it is always on the back, usually also on the left side. Clean away anything loose in the tray that can prevent the water from getting through.   <\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Place the tray, so all water is collected&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span>If you have rinsed off the tray, make sure it is in the right place, i.e. collect <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">all<\/span> the water. Start by laying the tray edge-to-edge with the rear left corner of the outdoor unit. Fill your watering can again and pour a few liters onto the silver-colored heat exchanger along the back and the left side. Did all the water go into the tray? &#8211; Yep! (Good job!) &#8211; Almost everything, move the tray so that it also covers the hole, where it flowed outside &#8211; then you pour a few liters in the same way again. Continue until all the water is collected.      <\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Don&apos;t forget to plug the plugs into the wall socket.&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s easy to forget, but it&#8217;s important that both the tray and the heating cable get power, as water that freezes can damage both.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Is the tray connected using a cord reel and\/or extension cable?&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>A cord reel is always a temporary solution, it is common for there to be flashover due to moisture in both cord reels and power strips\/extension cables. Use as little time as possible and ensure that moisture\/water never gets into joints\/cord reels. <\/p>\n<p>Heat pumps, heating trays and heating cables must have a direct connection to the electrical distribution board and their own fuse\/earth fault circuit breaker. Heat pumps must have a work switch and heating trays\/heating cables are connected via an earthed wall socket or safety switch. <\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Is there damage to the trough cable, drainage hose or perhaps the heating cable?&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Have you run over the hose with the lawn mower? Or has the grass trimmer been too close? &#8211; It is important that all electrical cables are intact, if it is the tray, then there are spare parts. If the drainage hose has been cut off, there is a joint as an accessory. If the heating cable has been cut off, it must be replaced.    <\/p>\n<p>The easiest way is to contact your place of purchase for the tray.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Are there bends on the drain hose that create a water trap?&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Air source heat pump<\/strong>, every year before the first frosty night. <strong>Air-water heat pump<\/strong>, twice a year before the first frost night and at Easter.<\/p>\n<p>Straighten the hose, flush through 10L of hot water, so that dirt stuck in the water trap is flushed out. Take for example a small table lamp and test.
